BANAANIS VS. OPTICIAN'S GLASSES – WHAT DOES AN INDEPENDENT TEST SAY?
On 24 January 2026, the Finnish newspaper Sunnuntaisuomalainen published an extensive test of Banaani's progressive glasses. The journalists wore the glasses for several weeks. The glasses worked perfectly: sharp vision, no headaches, high-quality frames.
Finally, the glasses were taken to the Center for Photonics Sciences at the University of Eastern Finland to be compared with a €700 pair of optician's glasses. The result: Banaani's glasses had the better optical quality!
"Oh wow, it looks like the cheap glasses won this time," commented senior engineer Pertti Pääkkönen.
