How do Banaani's progressive lenses compare with the much more expensive lenses at traditional opticians?
👉 Banaani's €149 progressive glasses give you a field of vision as wide as optician lenses that cost several hundred euros
Banaani's progressive lenses are based on the same modern Freeform technology as the lenses in the highest price ranges at traditional opticians.
Freeform is a digital grinding method that lets the lens power change smoothly between far, middle and near distances. So the technology and the lens quality are comparable.
The most expensive lenses at traditional opticians cost more because they are also optimised separately using individual parameters measured from the customer – such as head position, the angle of the frame and its distance from the eye.
With these, the geometry of the lens can be fine-tuned for each wearer with extreme precision, but most people don't need it.
Banaani's Freeform lenses are based on average, standardised measurements that are designed to work very well for most wearers and frames.
That's why about 95% of our customers have got good glasses straight away – without unnecessary extra charges or complicated measurements. For the remaining 5%, we make new glasses free of charge with updated lens centring.
100-day satisfaction guarantee
Most people get used to progressive lenses in a few days or weeks. If you still can't get used to them, you have a 100-day satisfaction guarantee: we'll swap your glasses for two pairs of single-vision glasses or make you new progressive lenses – at no extra cost.
