Why are prescription sunglasses usually so expensive? 🤔
Prices at traditional opticians and a few giant manufacturers stay high because the glasses pass through several middlemen before they reach you. The result: the price easily grows to three figures – and the prescription lenses are charged separately on top.
Banaani does things differently. We sell glasses with no middlemen, straight from the lens laboratory to the customer. When we remove the brand names, the physical shops and the extra marketing costs, we can offer the same quality at a fairer price.
Prescription sunglasses price table
Prices include the frames (€99) + the lenses you choose. All lenses come with 100% UV protection (UV-A/UV-B), an anti-reflective coating and a scratch-resistant coating as standard.
